The terms for authorized use of Emmaus OCIA and its related communication tools.

These Terms & Conditions govern access to Emmaus OCIA, including the website, mobile app, and related communication features. By using Emmaus OCIA, you agree to use it only for authorized parish OCIA formation, participant care, recordkeeping, and related communication.

Authorized use

You may use Emmaus OCIA only if you are authorized by a participating parish, invited as a participant, guardian, sponsor, godparent, teacher, parish staff member, or otherwise permitted to access the service.

You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for using the service in a way that respects participant privacy, parish policies, and applicable requirements.

Parish records and content

Parishes and authorized users are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of records, documents, notes, messages, and other content entered into Emmaus OCIA.

Emmaus OCIA provides workflow and communication tools. It does not replace parish judgment, pastoral care, diocesan requirements, sacramental record obligations, or legal advice.

Communications

Emmaus OCIA may send email, in-app, push, or related notifications according to account settings, consent records, workflow needs, and parish configuration.

Prohibited activity

Users may not:

  • Access accounts, parishes, records, or documents without authorization.
  • Interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the service.
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content.
  • Use Emmaus OCIA to send unauthorized or non-consensual communications.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service.

Availability and changes

Emmaus OCIA may change, suspend, or discontinue features as needed for operations, security, maintenance, or product improvement. The service may not always be uninterrupted or error free.

Termination

Access may be limited, suspended, or removed if an account is no longer authorized, violates these terms, presents a security risk, or is otherwise required by the participating parish or service operator.
