Hillsong Church - Brian and Bobbie Houston are the senior pastors of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, incorporating two major campuses, a city-wide network of Connect Groups and contributing ministries and extension services.

The Houstons originally founded the church, then known as Hills Christian Life Centre, in 1983 after seeing a need for a contemporary church in Sydney’s North West.

Today Hillsong Church operates from a 21-acre site in a modern business park in the Hills District and from a contemporary facility in Waterloo near the heart of Sydney’s central business district. It has grown from a congregation of 45 to what is said to be the largest church in Australian history. With a total attendance of over 20,000 on any given weekend, the reputation of the church continues to expand, having a dynamic influence and impact in Australia and abroad with Hillsong sister churches in London, Kiev and Paris.

Hillsong Music - A major component of Hillsong’s dynamic worship services is the original, contemporary music that continues to emerge from the church’s musicians and writers. Hillsong Music collectively refers to the music produced by Hillsong Church and distributed around the world. Hillsong products include CDs, DVDs and a variety of worship resources for people of all ages including an entire product line for children.

Numerous Hillsong Music projects have achieved gold status in various countries and Hillsong Worship Pastor Darlene Zschech, composer of the ever-popular song “Shout to the Lord,” is perhaps one of the most well-known worship leaders in the world. Hillsong Music’s influence on the global Church was recognized twice by the Gospel Music Association which presented “International Awards” to Hillsong Music and its modern worship band Hillsong United.
