Item Description...

Author Reza Safa, a former Shiite Muslim, exposes the spirit of Islam from an insider's point of view. Safa is well-versed in the laws and history of Islam, but more importantly, he brings to light the corrupt agenda of this destructive global force. Did you know that most radical fundamentalist Muslims believe:
The Bible is corrupt
Eternal life is only attained by sacrifice in a holy war
Christianity is a naive and weak faith
Christians are cursed for believing in the deity of Christ
This fascinating and well-documented book will take you Inside Islam, including the growing Black Muslim movement, showing you how Muslims have been deluded and how you can proclaim their freedom.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
A former Shiite Moslem'sdisturbing analysis of Islam.  May 7, 2003
Much has been written about Islam since the September 11 atrocities in the US, yet it is perhaps most illuminating and informative when such writings emanate from the pen of those who once professed Islam themselves.

In this book, Reza Safa, himself a former Shiite Moslem now converted to Christianity, tries to describe the Islamic faith and the Moslem world as he himself experienced it, and now also from a Christian perspective.

The writer declares that he once held what he describes as an `unshakable' faith in Islam before his conversion. His revelations are at times disturbing and shocking, but need to be listened to.

Whilst describing that Moslems in general are mostly loving and hospitable people, the writer proceeds to discuss and pronounce what he calls the `spirit of Islam' itself. In doing so he then further investigates the origins and history of Islam and states openly within the chapter on `Islam & Violence' that "..Islam has left a fingerprint of blood through every page of it's history..."

The author further elaborates that to a Moslem, "...dying and killing for the cause of Islam is not only a honour, but also a way of pleasing Allah. The only way Moslems can have assurance of Salvation and eternal life, is by becoming a martyr for the cause of Islam..." These aspects of violence and bloodshed are then studied within the context of present day events.

Citing what he himself calls the "confusion of the Qu'ran", the author declares that the Moslem holy book not only denies and controverts the foundational truths of the Hebrew/Christian Bible, but that it also contains numerous contradictions and errors concerning Biblical persons, places and both historical & chronological events in both the Old and New Testaments. This whilst the Moslem world simultaneously accuses the Bible itself of being corrupt.

When listening to such declarations from former staunch Moslems, one can be left in no doubt as to the erroneous statements of politicians, (perhaps with agendas of their own), who make public declarations which deny what books such as these reveal to the public at large.

This is a very interesting book, yet for a better, more in-depth read, I recommend a book entitled "Unveiling Islam: An Insider's Look at Muslim Life and Beliefs" by Ergun Mehmet Caner, Emir Fethi Caner. Both the Caner brothers are learned professors in their own right and cover the issues concerned in more detail.

Helpful but Lacking Depth  Aug 11, 2002
As a Christian pastor wanting to teach my congregation the doctrines of practices of Islam, I was hoping for more information than I received here. A far better book, in my estimation, is Caner and Caner's *Unveiling Islam: An Insider's Look at Muslim Life and Beliefs*. It is also written by former Moslems and offers a wealth of information.

Not what you might think!  Jul 22, 2002
From the description, I thought this was the book that I was looking for - an insider's look at the "real" Islam. While the author does spend a little time on origins, history, and beliefs of Islam, he spends the majority of the book telling us how to relate to and convert Muslims. I think that the author could perform better service by talking about the religion in depth to help us relate. I don't need a step-by-step conversion guide! However, it is well thought out and written, and I never questioned the author's sincerity, Christian faith, or motives.

A Must Read for any Christian  Mar 24, 2002
This book is a must read for every Christian trying to understand Islam. The author, a former follower of Islam, but now a Christian gives great insites into the inner workings of the Muslim religion. This book is written from a Christian perspective by a former Muslim so it is best suited for the Christian reader. If you want to know about Islam, I recommend that you buy this book.

An Honest unbias View  Dec 12, 2001
First of all, when anyone writes a book about religion being positive or negatives it will stir up some feathers.

This book was written so Christians can have a better understanding of Islam. It was not written for the Muslim reader in my point of view, Many Muslims will not agree or understand where Mr. Safa is coming from unless they understand Christianity.

In parts, he takes us on a journey inside of his head when he was a Shiite Muslim. Many American know very little about Islam or have interactions with people of that faith. There are a lot of misconceptions that Mr. Safa points out.

I have studied some of the Koran. A few of my Muslim friends have told me that it should be read in Arabic to get the true and unchanged meaning. (They don't trust the translations.)Well although I would mind learning Arabic, I can't see myself learning it anytime to be able to fully read the Koran, its meaning etc..., Although this will not be the only book I read on the subject, I found it helful.

On Page 72 he titled one side "Bible" the other side "Koran" He might mention a title like "Noah's Ark" and give the Biblical account and the Koran and compare.

He even stated that Christians should love the Muslim and not fear them. He said we should try to learn more about their culture and Islam ..........

This books talks about Khomeini, what "Allah" means and who "Allah" is to the Muslims. It talks about Islam in America, the history of Islam, The Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakham, what Islam thinks of Christ and gives a personal account of a lady who grew up Baptist, converted to Islam and later converted back to Christian and why.and more.

Inside Islam has a lot of information in such a small reasonably priced book. Again the tone is from a Christian point of view and he doesn't apologize for reaching out to Muslims world wide in his quest to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this world wide ministry. He doesn't try to tone down his message not to step on toes. He is stepping on toes, Keep in mind that although he states some historical facts to back up his thesis, many of the statements are his "thoughts" from his point of view. Which all books are to some degree.
